Provance and Microsoft customers to add barcode data capture to their asset tracking processes.
In-house systems

XML file integration capabilities.
AssetTrack Scan Sheet.
Scanning is much easier, faster, and more accurate than tapping in data with a stylus.
In this example, you know that you'll be receiving some Dell equipment at your Seattle facility, so you
use AssetTrack to create a printable scan sheet using your web browser. Once you've printed it out, you
can just scan the barcodes to do data entry in AssetTrack and avoid using the stylus.
Although is sounds like a simple idea, this is one of our most popular features and significantly
improves adoption rates by busy field personnel.
AssetTrack Mobile's AutoComplete feature.
AssetTrack Mobile's AutoComplete feature increases speed and accuracy by minimizing stylus use
and suggesting existing values to the user.
This feature pays dividends during data entry and also reduces the amount of data scrubbing
that happens afterward. Without AutoComplete, your data quality is at the mercy of mobile technicians
freetext entries (e.g. "Andersen Basement", "anderson sublvl" and "anderrsen annex").
You can specify which fields will AutoComplete when you design a form.
Example AssetTrack Web Form
In the screenshot below, a standard Install-Move-Add-Change form is shown as an example
of a custom form that can be created using the Form Designer.
This form is an example of a form typically used by IT personnel to record the installation, movement, or disposal
of one or more assets.
As you can see, web forms use Ajax technology to suggest names based upon what the user has typed. This
serves to increase accuracy and adoption.
The Upload Queue inside the AssetTrack Management Console
The Upload Queue is a central catchpoint for all of the data collected using AssetTrack's
web and mobile device forms. It's an opportunity for you to inspect, correct, and reconcile on the data in an
Excel-like setting before it's offically applied to AssetTrack and/or other systems that are waiting to receive the data.
- Data that violates data rules are flagged with various severity levels.
- Make corrections and re-validate.
- Search for specific values as you would do in Excel.
- Automatically correct variances in data (e.g. "DELL" and "dell")
- Preview how a given asset will change based on the incoming data.
- See who collected the data and when it was collected.
- Manage your data in Outlook-like folders.
- Export data to Excel.
- Undo any changes that you make at any time.
AssetTrack Form Designer
You can add, customize, and remove forms using the Form Designer. The Form Designer is part of AssetTrack Management Console,
a Windows desktop application that you launch from your web browser.
The forms that you create in the Form Designer can be used by mobile device users, web users, or both.
You can create forms to support a wide range of business processes. It's straightforward to use, but if
you need sophisticated options (adding custom fields, custom data entry rules, AutoComplete preferences, etc),
you'll find that the Form Designer can accomodate you to create the exact form you want.
Publishing AssetTrack Data to Other Systems
If you have other systems that you want to feed with data gathered in AssetTrack, you can configure
AssetTrack to publish those systems in the Form Designer.
In this screenshot, you can see a form named "Inventory" that is already configured to publish data to
AssetTrack (using the AssetTrack Handler) and the user is adding a handler to publish data to Unicenter as well.
